Food connects everyone, yet finding good food is harder than you’d like it to be. Especially in such a connected environment like the internet. So instead of turning to the food blogs that rope you in to long winded stories and tales of yore, only to hide a collapsed recipe that ends up subpar, I made an anti-food blog. Recipes at the top, explanations and back stories at the bottom for invested readers. Decide for yourself if the recipe is worth trying, but know that any that are posted are tried and true works that have proven track records of being delicious!

Amara Walker
Freelance Graphic Artist and Social Media Specialist
An artist since my hands could hold crayons, I’ve been working on my craft in as many areas as possible to be a well rounded artisan that could help anyone achieve their vision. Motherhood has led me to being the primary cook in our household now, so I’ve had to go down memory lane and scrounge up the infamous recipes from my childhood. I’m an eldest child of six, born to an interracial military couple. The eldest grandchild of eighteen, and the eldest of twenty-two great-grandchildren. Needless to say, there’s a large family eating these great dishes. All of them have varying tastes and dietary restrictions, so there will be a wide selection of food to try!

Taste Tester Extraordinaires
Amara gave birth to two kids with J and adopted his younger brother. The three children have a wide taste pallet, fostered by their parents’ love for good food. Pickiness can persist though, which is why Amara is constantly on the search for replacements to no longer favorite/safe dishes. Juggling the likes of a teenager, preschooler and toddler can be tough, but with her loving husband’s support, this mama is putting an artistic spin on dinners everyone can enjoy.
